Oulu is Coming to Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai!
Experience Innovation and Connectivity from Northern Finland
This June, the innovative city of Oulu, located in northern Finland, is making its way to Osaka and the Kansai region! As an official partner of the Nordic Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, the City of Oulu will host a special event on Wednesday, June 4 inside the pavilion:
“OULU, Finland – Build a Better Future by Connectivity and Trust.”
(Please note: This is an invitation-only event.)
The event will spotlight Oulu’s cutting-edge expertise across a wide range of sectors—including ICT, health & well-being, sustainable development, and future education—while exploring new business and collaboration opportunities between Oulu and Japan. Delegation members and guest speakers from Oulu will join the event to share insights and spark dialogue.
As part of Oulu’s visit to Japan, a series of public side events will also take place in both Tokyo and Osaka. These are open to everyone (students, startups, companies, etc.), held in English, and include refreshments. Pre-registration is required.

北欧フィンランド最先端のイノベーションとつながりを体感
北欧フィンランド北部のイノベーション都市「オウル（Oulu）」が、大阪にやってきます！オウル市は、2025年大阪・関西万博における北欧パビリオンの公式パートナーであり、6月4日(水)に北欧パビリオンにて「OULU, Finland – Build a Better Future by Connectivity and Trust」を開催予定です（※招待制）。
本イベントでは、オウルの強みであるICT、健康・ウェルビーイング、持続可能な開発、未来の教育など多様な分野でのイノベーションが紹介され、同市と日本との新たなビジネスや協業の可能性を探ります。
大阪・関西万博で開催されるイベントの他にも、オウル市による訪日プログラムは東京・大阪の両都市で展開され、以下のような誰でも参加可能なサイドイベントも予定されています：
