【Event Info】Saxophonist Pekka Pylkkänen is coming to EXPO 2025

Saxophonist/composer Pekka Pylkkanen (FIN) and guitarist/composer Florian Fleischer (GER) will give a unique Duo Concert at the Osaka Expo 2025. The music will be an exploration through jazz standards and jazz tunes among their original works, while maintaining a joyful spirit and creating many different grooves and feels and simply having fun with the music. An organic collaboration at its best!

Pekka Pylkkänen & Florian Fleischer
Pekka Pylkkänen, born in 1964, is a renowned saxophonist and composer who has established himself as one of the strongest jazz artists and saxophonists in Europe. His musical talent has taken him around the world, where he has had great success not only in Europe but also in Asia and the Americas. Collaborating with numerous prestigious artists in many countries, he continues to work as a soloist, recording artist, and educator, performing in clubs, concert halls, and major festivals across more than 70 countries in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa.
Florian Fleischer from Berlin Germany is a guitarist, improviser and composer known for his work not only in Germany but on the international jazz scenes in Mexico, Finland, the Baltic States, South Korea and Japan. As a leader he released several albums with the Florian Fleischer Trio / Quartet and Florian Fleischer und das Gelbe vom Ei. He is a founding member of the German Avantgarde trio Massive Schräge which found high attention throughout Germany, Poland and Switzerland.
