Prime Minister of Finland Visits Nordic Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka
The Nordic Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka proudly welcomed Finland's Prime Minister, Petteri Orpo, alongsid a distinguished delegation that included Finland’s Ambassador to Japan, Tanja Jääskeläinen, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.
During the visit, Nita Pilkama and Dag Olav Koppervik from the Nordic Pavilion team introduced the pavilion’s concept and themes of Sustainability and Innovation. They emphasized the collaborative spirit of the Nordic countries, which is reflected in the shared space and unified vision of the pavilion.
"Finland's participation in the Osaka World Expo is a unique investment that will open new doors for Finnish companies in the Japanese market. Japan is the world's fourth largest economy and Finland's third largest trading partner outside Europe. Its market offers significant growth opportunities for Finnish companies", states Petteri Orpo.
Finland's National Dayis scheduled at the Expo on June 12th, 2025, which will provide a special platform to celebrate Finnish culture and achievements. This milestone, along with the national days of other Nordic countries, highlights the unique opportunities each nation has to showcase its heritage while contributing to a unified Nordic identity.
The visit underscored the commitment of the Nordic countries to inspire global audiences with their balanced and sustainable way of life. The pavilion promises to be a hub of innovation, collaboration, and meaningful exchanges for all visitors.
