The Novo Nordisk Foundation is an independent Danish enterprise foundation. Characterised as a non-profit organisation, we support philanthropic purposes using funds deriving from our ownership of and investment in companies and other financial assets.
The vision of the Novo Nordisk Foundation is to improve people’s health and the sustainability of society and the planet, directing the majority of grants toward:
1) Progressing research and innovation in the prevention and treatment of cardiometabolic and infectious diseases
2) Advancing knowledge and solutions to support the green transition in society
3) Investing in scientific research, education and innovation to enable a world class life science ecosystem in Denmark
In alignment with its vision, the Novo Nordisk Foundation recognises the significance of EXPO 2025 primary aim: "Bringing together the wisdom of the world, including breakthrough technologies, to create and communicate new ideas." This global platform serves as an opportunity to showcase the merits of Danish research and innovative solutions which can benefit of people and planetary health. Moreover, the event provides a unique forum for engaging in a global dialogue that fosters innovation and cultivates increased research collaboration on an international scale.
