Nordic Pavilion Breaks Ground for Expo 2025 in Osaka

The Nordic Pavilion is pleased to announce the commencement of construction on the Nordic Pavilion for Expo 2025 in Osaka. Representing Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, the Nordic Pavilion will showcase the innovative spirit, sustainability efforts, and cultural richness of these countries under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives."

The Nordic Pavilion, designed to highlight the importance of collaboration and sustainable development, will feature cutting-edge technologies and immersive experiences. Visitors will be invited to explore solutions to global challenges, emphasizing renewable energy, smart cities, and circular economies. The pavilion is designed by Italian architect Michele De Lucchi and AMDL Circle and constructed by the Expo Design-Build Contractor RIMOND. The pavilion is scheduled for final handover by March 2025.

Expo 2025 Osaka, running from April 13 to October 13, 2025, is expected to attract millions of visitors from around the world. The Nordic Pavilion aims to inspire and engage with a diverse audience, sharing insights and solutions that can help shape a better future for all.

About the Nordic Pavilion The Nordic Pavilion is a collaboration between Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, showcasing the region's culture, innovation, and sustainability on the global stage. Together, these countries represent a powerhouse of creativity and forward-thinking solutions, making the Nordic Pavilion a must-visit destination at EXPO 2025 Osaka. Built by Rimond Architects (I), the Nordic Pavilion is a 1,200 m2, 17 m high wooden structure that illustrates a timeless and sustainable mindset. The pavilion houses a joint Nordic exhibition, a shop, a roof terrace with a café as well as a conference room and meeting facilities.
